Super Mario Party Jamboree begins with four of its seven boards available. The remaining three boards are tied to Player Rank, which advances through the Jamboree Rewards track. You increase rank by completing achievements listed at the Data House in Party Plaza.

The board unlock system does not require a special character, a hidden item, or a particular number of Mario Party turns. Instead, focus on completing achievements across the game’s different modes. This gives you several ways to progress, whether you prefer traditional board matches, minigames, or side activities.

Board Progression at a Glance

Your starting rank is Bronze Rank, also called One-Star Rank. The first board unlock arrives at Silver Rank, while the final board requires Platinum Rank. Diamond Rank is a later milestone, but it does not add another board.

The game contains 116 achievements across its modes, so you can choose objectives that match your preferred playstyle. You only need 30 achievements to unlock all three additional boards.

The most efficient unlock order is fixed by the Rewards track. You cannot skip directly to King Bowser’s Keep, so each achievement milestone should be treated as part of the same progression path.

Which Board Should You Unlock First?

You do not get to select the order manually, but each unlock changes the available board rotation. Western Land is the earliest returning board, followed by Mario’s Rainbow Castle and then King Bowser’s Keep.

The achievement track also rewards players who sample the game’s wider content. Trying a mode for the first time can be more efficient than repeating the same activity without checking the Data House.

Reliable Minigame Achievement Types

The quickest objectives generally fall into four groups. Pick the category that best matches your strengths rather than forcing a difficult challenge.

Time-based goals reward practice and route familiarity. Survival goals are useful when you want a clear target without competing against another player. Score objectives can be completed in Free Play, making them easier to repeat when you miss the target.

You need 30 achievements for every board, but the game offers many more objectives than that. Prioritize goals with clear conditions and short attempts. Several minigame targets are especially practical because they can be retried without committing to a full board match.

Recommended 30-Achievement Routine

A balanced route is usually more efficient than grinding one activity for a long period. Start with exploration objectives, then move into short minigame attempts.

If one score challenge feels inconsistent, switch to another category. The achievement system supports multiple routes, so missing a single target does not block board progression.

Once Platinum Rank is reached, all seven boards should be available through the normal board selection flow. The remaining progression systems can then be pursued for additional rewards and customization options.

Completing one Mario Party game also unlocks Pro Rules. This ruleset changes the traditional format by reducing some luck-based elements, and it also enables minigame voting in standard Party Rules. It is separate from the board unlock track, but it can provide another achievement opportunity while you continue progressing.

Party-Planning Trek also contributes to broader customization. After progressing beyond its introduction, speak with Kamek to work toward Party Plaza decorations. These include ornaments, flags and garlands, fountains, large items, boss topiaries, tile art, balloons, stakes, and extras.
